| The Lighting Fair in Hong Kong is well on the way to becoming the most important lighting fair in Asia. Following a 17 percent increase in exhibitors last year, the fair authorities have announced a record number of exhibitors for this year: 1,788 exhibitors from 31 countries presented their innovations in Hong Kong, including 752 companies which were exhibiting at the Lighting Fair for the first time. Although the exhibition area at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre had again been increased quite considerably, no space was left unoccupied. The number of visitors also increased substantially. At the BJB booth, the visitors’ main focus of interest was on the new LED connectors. For these innovations, BJB cooperates with large manufacturers such as Toshiba, Philips, Osram, Seoul Semiconductors and Nichia. Their LED lighting solutions are increasingly being integrated into new lighting designs. Accordingly, customers are very interested in the BJB products, which make soldering and adhesive bonding of LEDs superfluous and instead use dependable push-wire technology. In general, the light fitting companies in Hong Kong appeared to be in very optimistic mood following the economic hardship of the previous months. Many companies are again focusing on new designs to stimulate business worldwide. |
