The Light Fair Las Vegas reports a new record for the number of visitors: This year, approximately 22,000 trade and industry visitors approached almost 500 manufacturers for information. The fair alternates on a yearly basis between New York on the east coast and Las Vegas in the west. It is the biggest and most important lighting fair in America.
The focus of interest for trade and industry professionals at the Light Fair, as everywhere else in the world, was on innovations relating to all aspects of LED technology. Substantial and rapid advances in the development of light output, lifetime and energy efficiency have resulted in increasing demands for LED modules to be replaceable. Consequently, visitors to the Light Fair showed keen interest in those products from BJB which meet precisely these requirements. The lampholder system for the Fortimo Twistable from Philips allows light fitting manufacturers and end-users to replace LED modules. Acclaimed as a world first at Light & Building in Frankfurt, this innovation from BJB also attracted great interest in North America, as did innovations for LED which BJB has developed in cooperation with Citizen and Toshiba.
