BJB, the LED lighting technology producer from Arnsberg in Germany, has taken a major step forward on the US LED market: At the Lightfair International in San Diego, California, Bridgelux, one of the market leaders in LED light sources in the USA, commissioned BJB to carry out a major development project. “For BJB, this cooperation is an extremely important step toward establishing ourselves in the USA with our LED products. Bridgelux is at the fore in terms of the development of LED technologies in the USA. If we are selected as a supplier, that is more than just an indication of quality” says BJB’s CEO Philipp Henrici. At Lightfair International, Aaron Merrill, head of product marketing at Bridgelux, explained why his company had chosen the company from Arnsberg: “We are looking forward to working with BJB, an industry leader well-known for its high-quality electromechanical connectors. BJB will enable us to offer luminaire manufacturers highly specialized, innovative LED solutions which really solve problems.” Like many US groups operating with forward-looking technologies, Bridgelux is based in California. The company will integrate its latest COB series into a connector developed by BJB, thereby offering luminaire manufacturers a COB module which is ready to connect and install. Besides its cooperation with Bridgelux, BJB was able to report a positive result for Lightfair International as a whole. The number of visitors increased by almost 50 per cent. With 617 exhibitors and 27,628 trade visitors, the San Diego fair is the most important lighting fair on the North American continent.
